Our Hut is located on the edge of Derbyshire right on the doorstep of Lyme Park
the Gritstone Trail and a short journey to Kinder Scout. It is also conveniently placed for transportation, sitting next to the train station, bus stop and the main A6.
The hut is located on Station Approach just off the A6 from Manchester/Buxton, the Village has a late store for last minute essentials. The hut has limited parking space in the compound but there is a public car park within 100 yards on the same road. There is a ball court directly outside the hut and a wooded area that can be used for games adjacent to the hut.
The hut has recently had a new flooring and roof, there is a kitchen with kettles, microwave, electric oven and cooking/eating utensils are available. The main hall is heated with electric heaters and has crash mats, chairs and tables available. There are 2 toilets and wash basin adjacent to the main hall. The size of the hut is about 10m x 20m.
There are many walks and routes that can be taken from the hut and any local information can be obtained from the Scout leaders.
The hut has previously been used for parties, bands, local societies, Scout groups, charities, table top events, sleepovers, martial arts, walkers, climbers etc. As we are a Scout Group we suggest an appropriate donation based on the activity being held.
Should you have any further questions regarding the use of the hut, facilities or local area then please do not hesitate to contact us.
